Memorials

The War Memorial for Clay Cross, is situated outside St. Bartholomew's Church on the High Street. 187 names from the First World War are commemorated on the memorial and 34 from the Second World War (Roll of Honour). The names are inscribed on brass plates set in a wall at the rear of the memorial.

Danesmoor War Memorial, unveiled in August 1922 by Captain HH Jackson MC and the local curate Reverend W Howley is Grade II listed.
